Woodsound and others (2005) by Christian Wolff
Essentially a xylophone solo with other found objects incorporated in contrasting sections. Some resonant, some not. The non-resonant objects enter into the sound world of the xylophone, which initiates a new perspective. Instead of a keyboard instrument, the xylophone is deconstructed, lifted out of its current paradigm, and perceived as multi-percussion instrument. Not a keyboard instrument, but a curated collection of found objects.
